Denise Dumont studied at the School of Visual Arts and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design. An oil painter primarily working in the landscape genre, she lives near the coast on the Delmarva Peninsula, drawing inspiration from her home and travels. Her influences are rooted in the art of the 19th and 20th centuries, from the artist colonies of Cos Cob and Long Island's East End to the Nabis post-impressionists.
